WHAT IS LITERATURE ANALYSIS AND THE ELEMENTS OF IT.?

Literature can be defined as artworks which include stories, poems and plays, especially those that are considered to have value as art and not just entertainment. Literature analysis is an argument by the readers toward writer’s work on literary review. Basically it may involve research on analysis of secondary resources. Usually, a literary analysis will involve a discussion of a text as writing, thus the term literary, which means “having to do with letters”. Thus, it will basically involve with the usage of certain concepts that are very specifically associated with literature. Furthermore, the basic concepts can be divided into several elements which are Plot, Setting, Narration/point of view, Characterization, Symbol, Metaphor, Genre and Irony/ambiguity. Besides that, the other key concepts for instance, Historical context , Social, political, economic contexts will be blended into literary texts as the literary reviews.

WHAT IS AN ANALYSIS?

An analysis of a literary work may discuss several important rudiments such as how the various components of an individual work relate to each other, how two separate literary works deal with similar concepts or forms and lastly how concepts and forms in literary works relate to larger aesthetic, political, social, economic, or religious contexts. However, in this report it will focus on the basic and most important elements in any literary works which are thematic statements, plots, characters, and moral values.
